Our old across-the-street neighbors came to make it feel like home for us and we are so glad they did! The boys had a great time and so did the mamas!

Dallacites arrive
It was great to have a summer full of visitors. The crew from Dallas had a great time together and can't wait to do it again.
Little Mozarts in the making.
A homemade good time! Mr. C was napping so missed all the fun but his buddies caught him up later. At one point they had Anders hauling dirt with a fish net from one pile to the other. It was quite a busy afternoon for the garden club.
John Hayden finally gets a little attention.
Brotherly love
As the boys all get older, it is so much fun to watch them together. Now that Andrew is old enough to understand and follow the commands that Will gives, they get along great....until Anders has his own opinion. JohnJohn is right with them and can't wait to do whatever they are into. The good habits are great, but there is also some furniture jumping.

I dont know what this pose is but they both seem happy about the dress-up.

This is definitely not naptime!

This is what you get when you ask little boys to help you put clothes away. The high heel walking was very impressive, especially with the highest shoes in the closet.

Budding artists
When I got the easel out for the boys, I had no idea Andrew would take to it so seriously. He loved painting and would have been much happier with his own paints, easel, paper and space. John Hayden was cramping his style from the start but once he started "helping" it went south fast!

The hair color changes were not permanent...thank goodness.

Fourth of July in Shreveport
Finally we made it to meet sweet baby Mae! She is adorable and my boys couldn't believe 3 girls in one house! Firecrackers were a big hit but a little loud. JHS didnt quite make it but we told him all about it.
a little more...
With a vacation as fun as I stated, there has to be more than just one entry to fully detail the greatness of the trip. Six boys together will make you laugh even without trying but this crew went above and beyond. They all did great and were so sweet to each other and the babies. I really love being a boy mama, especially when i see the pictures.
Nothing better than a good cold popsicle on a hot day after the beach!
You have to expect wrestlemania with 6 boys....they all loved it.
Sweet little John Hayen was sick but did not want to leave the fun. I sat under the umbrella with him all day, after he was still for the family pic of course!

This was the start of the "boy band" that practiced heartily all week long. They werent half bad.
Beach buddies
We started off the summer with a great trip. I think this has been our best beach trip yet...we will try again though just to make sure :) It was just the right mix of fun and relaxation, the kids were a little bigger, we REALLY needed a vacation. Since we had already become Oklahomians by this point, Will was super stoked to hang with his best buddy. The babies had a great time too.
This year our house was between the ocean and a little lake about 40 yards behind the dunes. Somehow a little stream system formed between the two which made for a very shallow pond next to the beach for the babies to hang in a lot. It also worked great for boogie board pod races and the beginning of the skim boarding. These races wrewe a clever idea and a big hit for ALL the boys.
I think by next year we will have to break down and get William surfing lessons. He really loves the water.
The beach is the perfet place to make new friends. Who wouldnt want to work together to get a monster crab?

Andrew was happy doing whatever the game of the day was. He thought he was much older than 2 and luckily for him got attention from the big boys since he was brave enough to try almost anything.

Finally home
After months of planning, we finally have relocated to Bartlesville. The boys did great and settled right in to the new surroundings. Same toys, same fun. The flood gates are open now for summer visitors.
What good friends we have! Pregnant Wendy and her baby boys came to visit on day 2! Will couldnt be happier to have one of his favorite buddies here to show around his new town. The best part is now we are only 3 hours away!
This sequence describes perfectly what our lives are about these days. One wants what the other has. It is almost always about food. Andrew takes from John Hayden and will often happily share with his friends. In the end, if everyone gets what they want, we love each other.

Summertime!
Usually the last day of school is the best day of the year, but it was a little bitter-sweet for the the Scheland family. We already miss these guys~ I am sure more good times will follow though.
Talent Show
As we all know, Will is a multi-talented boy. So it comes as no surprise that he chose the Mohawk talent show to showcase his unique jump-roping skills. Thank goodness no neighbors had the video camera out during our "practice sessions" in the fornt yard. Per Will's request, Greg flew home from B'ville for the day to witness his jumping debut!
